If you have studied binary numbers and the binary operations that can be performed on binary numbers, you may recognize the binary operation that we use to figure out the adjacents mathematically. We are performing an Exclusive OR operation. Sometimes it is called an EOR operation and sometimes an XOR operation. They both mean the same thing. We’ll use XOR here.
